(a) whether the Government of Andhra Pradesh has requested to grant more rice stocks for continuing the drought relief works; and
(b) if so, the action taken to supply 10 lakhs tonnes of rice under the Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana for the purpose?

(a)&(b): Having regard to all the relevant factors, the Task Force on Drought has approved allocation of 2.20 lakh MTs of rice free of cost to Andhra Pradesh from the Special Component of the Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana (SGRY) for relief employment within the month of July. This brings the total allocation made to the State in the wake of drought to 17.20 lakh MTs.
