Question : Amendments to Prevention of Money Laundering Act

(a) whether the Government intends to bring more amendments to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act;

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the reasons therefor and the steps taken by the Government in this regard;

(c) whether recent amendments have caused a lot of criticism from the Business Community in the country; and

(d) if so, the details thereof and the steps taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) & (b) Currently, Government does not intend to bring more amendments to the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002.

(c) & (d) No suggestions/representations/ criticisms have been received from Business Community in the Country against recent amendments to the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002.
