Question : UTTER ORDERLINES FOR BLOOD COLLECTION



(a) whether there is utter orderlines in the central collection of blood samples in Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi and the patients have to wait for long to get their blood taken or jostle in the crowd and many of the patients reports do not reach the doctors or are missing; and

(b) if so, the steps taken to bring about improvement in this regard?

(a) There is no disorderliness in the Central Collection Centre, which collects the blood samples for investigation. Sometimes, due to heavy rush, patients may have to wait a little longer to get their reports. Reports generally reach the treating doctors, who advise the investigations, in time. In an occasional case, if a report is missing, a duplicate report is issued.

(b) Steps are being taken to open more counters and install of machines and equipments with complete automation.
