ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYURVEDA,

(a) & (b): The total number of members nominated by the Central Government to the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) is 24 as notified on 28.08.2017 for a period of five years. Presently there is no vacancy for nominated members.
(c): The norms and parameters fixed for nomination of members to CCIM is annexed as Annexure I. The main functions and responsibilities of CCIM are as under:
(i) To prescribe the minimum standards of education in Indian Systems of Medicine viz. Ayurved, Siddha, Unani and Sowa Rigpa.
(ii) To advise Central Government in matters relating to recognition (inclusion / withdrawal) of medical qualifications in Second Schedule of Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970.

(iii) To maintain a Central Register of Indian Medicine and revise the Register from time to time.
(iv) To prescribe Standards of Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Code of Ethics to be observed by the practitioners.
(d): The Detail of the review report of the works undertaken by the Council for the year 2016-17 is annexed as Annexure II.
(e): The total number of graduate and post graduate doctors of Ayurveda registered from Rajasthan is 9464 as on 01.01.2016.
