(a) whether the Ranki Vav near Patan and Sun Temple near Modhera in North Gujarat are not included in the list of protected monuments;
(b) if so, the reasons therefor;
(
(c) by when it is likely to be included in this list;
(d) whether the Government are aware about the damage being caused to these monuments by rain and wind; and
(e) if so, the steps taken to conserve these monuments ?

(a) to (c ) Rani-ki-Vav near Patan and Sun Temple at Modhera in north Gujarat are protected monuments of national importance.
(d)&(e) To protect the monuments from the vagaries of nature exterior surface of stone is preserved by way of chemical treatment and requisite structural repairs of special nature are taken up as per archaeological principles.
