Question : ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR NATIONAL HIGHWAY NO.47

(a) whether the Government are aware of the inordinate delay in the completion of over-bridge at Chakkai side on National Highways No. 47;

(b) if so, the steps taken/proposed to be taken in this regard;

(c) whether the Government have taken up land acquisition programme from Mukkola to Kanjiramkulam under Phase II of National Highway by pass, Neyyattinkara on NH-47 during current financial year;

(d) if so, the details thereof;

(e) whether the said programme falls under National Highway Development Programme (NHDP);

(f) if so, the details thereof;

(g) whether the cost of land acquisition for widening and providing four lanes in the stretches of NH-47 from Karamana to Pravachambalam and Kebavadasapuram to Breekariyam to be considered under NHDP; and

(h) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) : Yes, Sir. Due to geotechnical problems the completion of the approaches of the Road Over Bridge (R.O.B.) has been delayed. The revised proposal is awaited from the Kerala PWD.
