Question : EDUCATION TO DIFFERENTLY ABLED CHILDREN



(a) whether there is any provision for conducting examinations for the differently abled children being provided education under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA);

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the data regarding the children who have passed the examinations conducted under the SSA is available with the Government;

(d) if so, the details thereof along with the number of children who have received certificates to this effect during the last three years; and

(e) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): No, Madam. The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is a centrally sponsored scheme to provide financial assistance to States/UTs for implementation of the objectives of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009 and is not an examining body.

(b) to (e): Do not arise.
