(a) whether the Government proposes to involve Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs)
to improve road safety through education;
(b) if so, the details thereof alongwith the modalities worked out for its execution; and
(c) the fund allocated for the purpose during the current year?

(a)&(b) Government encourages all stakeholders to participate in campaigns to improve
road safety in the country. NGOs also take part in such campaigns on a voluntary basis.
(c) The Ministry has a budget provision of Rs. 45 Crore for the current financial year
towards publicity and awareness programmes on road safety issues. However, at present,
the Ministry does not operate any scheme for providing grant-in-aid to NGOs for this purpose.
