Question : Contractual Workers in Public and Private Sector

(a)the details regarding the number of people employed as contractual workers in Public and Private sectors separately;
(b)whether there has been an increase in the number of contractual workers in organized and unorganized sectors as compared to the year 2020;
(c)if so, the sector wise details thereof;
(d)the details of the share of contractual workers in total employment at present and during the last three years compared to the years 2018 and 2000;
(e)whether the Government has reviewed the situation of the said contractual workers who have been deprived of due fair compensation thereof with the outbreak of COVID pandemic in 2020; and
(f)if so, the details thereof and the action taken by the Government thereon?

(e) & (f): Complaints of contractual workers in this regard are dealt with by the appropriate Government under relevant rules.
