Question : CAG Authority

(a) whether the Government has taken any steps against the authority of Visva Bharati on the basis of
points raised by Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) authority during audit for the period 2014-
16 and for non-compliance with the regulation relating to financial matters during the said period on
the basis of complaint relating to irregular appointments in different posts of Visva Bharati; and
(b) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): The Visva Bharati has informed that there are Audit observations on irregular appointments
in Visva-Bharati as included in the Inspection Reports for the year 2014-15 and 2015-16. The
University has furnished its replies on the said observations to the concerned Audit authority.
