Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government proposes to formulate any scheme to provide worldclass educational facilities in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and also world-class medical facilities for the treatment of more number of patients in view of their increasing number in this institute;
(b) if so, the extensive details thereof; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c): Government has accorded in – principle approval for implementation of Master Plan to convert All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi into a world class Medical University. Master Plan envisages redevelopment of the main campus of AIIMS to cater to the present and future needs of patients care, education and research in the Institute.
