(a) & (b): The data of the students studying outside the state is not centrally maintained. However, the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, is implementing one Special Scholarship Scheme for J&K since academic year 2011-12. The Scheme offers 5000 plus scholarships per annum (4500 scholarship for general degree courses, 250 for engineering and 250 for medical studies) to encourage the youth of J&K to pursue their higher studies outside the state. The details of scholarships approved since 2011-12 are as follows:-
