Question : Rural Drinking Water Supply

(a) whether the Government has received any proposal from the Government of Andhra Pradesh seeking allocation and sanction of Rs. 3,150 crore for rural drinking water supply;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) whether the Government has taken any decision on the proposal and if so, the details thereof?

(a) Yes Madam, the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh has submitted a project proposal amounting to Rs. 4500 crore with an external assistance component of Rs. 3150 Crore from Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
(b) The details of the project proposal are as under:

(c) The technical examination of the above mentioned project proposal has been done in this Ministry and the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh has been requested to submit the Detailed Project Report (DPR) along with clear recommendation as per the general directions / check list issued by Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance for consideration of such proposals.
