(a) whether there is any proposal for providing at least 2000 km optical fibre cable for Bidar district in Karnataka;
(b) if so, whether the Government have installed electronic exchanges in the said district;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (d): The total number of exchanges in Bidar district is 79 and all are digital electronic exchanges. All these exchanges have reliable media connectivity, with 73 connected on optical fibre. Hence, there is no proposal to provide 2000 kms of optical fibre cable to Bidar district.
