Question : Phases of SAGY in UP and Bihar

(a) whether all the works have been completed as per Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana in the villages adopted in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in the first phase of the scheme;

(b) the status of the villages thereof, parliamentary constituency-wise;

(c) the status of the villages adopted in the second phase in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar under the said scheme;

(d) the amount of funds released by the Government in the form of assistance for completing the works under the said scheme in each village adopted in the first and second phases; and

(e) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) : The Hon’ble Members of Parliament from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh have identified 53 and 104 Gram Panchayats(GPs) respectively under the first phase(2014-16) of Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY). These Gram Panchayats have prepared Village Development Plans (VDP) containing prioritized time-bound works to achieve holistic progress of the village, through the convergence of resources. The status of these Gram Panchayats, parliament constituency wise, is placed in the Annexure-I.

(c) : The status of the villages adopted in the second phase(2016-2019) in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar under the SAGY is given in Annexure-II.

(d) & (e) : Under the SAGY Framework of Guidelines, the development of Gram Panchayats is envisaged through effective convergence and implementation of existing development schemes of Government under the administrative control of respective Ministries without allocation of any additional fund.
