Question : Entry and Exit Gate

a) whether only one entry and one exit gate has been kept operational in Delhi metro rail/stations due to Covid and if so, the reasons therefor;

(b) whether the physically challenged persons and old age people have to face a lot of difficulties in the absence of gates on both the sides of the roads whereas the road opens to only one entry point from both side gates despite that gates are not opened on both the sides; and

(c) if so, the details thereof and the reaction of the Government thereto?

(a): No, Sir. After removing of restrictions by Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) in March 2022, all gates of metro stations have been opened.

(b) & (c): Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has informed that it has received feedbacks from some senior citizens and persons with disabilities during the last six months to open all gates. With the lifting of Covid related restrictions by DDMA, all the gates have now been opened.
