(a) & (b) Water being a State Subject, State Governments take several measures for providing water for different purposes within the State.
According to the Telangana State Portal, under the Telangana Water Grid Project, Government of Telangana has sanctioned Rs.4,000 crore for the financial year 2015-16 out of the total project cost of 35,000 crore, for laying 1.26 lakh Km. pipelines to provide water for State towns and villages, apart from providing water for the industrial needs.
