THE MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) IN THE MINISTRY OF SMALL SCALE INDUSTRIES AND AGRO AND RURAL INDUSTRIES (SMT. VASUNDHARA RAJE)

(a): The reference to the financial year is perhaps to the year 2000-01. The Schemes/Programmes to encourage the Small Scale and Cottage Industries are uniformly applicable to all States including Rajasthan and specific state-wise allocation of funds is not made. During the year 2000-01, an amount of Rs. 701.77 crores (provisional) was utilised for the development of Small Scale, Agro and Rural Industries in the country.

(b): `Deen Dayal Hathakargha Protsahan Yojana` was launched by Government of India during the year 2000-01 to provide necessary support in an integerated and comprehensive manner to upgrade skills and knowledge of weavers, to strengthen the Handlook Organisations, to ensure availability of infrastructure and common facilities for development of better products, to provide assistance for publicity and marketing, to improve the mobility of the finished products, to provide marketing incentives etc.
