(a) whether the Government proposes to set up a Central Madrasa Board;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the views of all stakeholders have been ascertained;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the action taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) to (e) Efforts were made by the Ministry to build a consensus on the proposal of setting
up of Central Madrasa Board (CMB) and a meeting of the Muslim Members of Parliament was also
convened to seek their opinion. Due to lack of consensus the proposal for setting up of CMB
has been dropped for the time being.
