Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS
(SHRI HANSRAJ GANGARAM AHIR)

(a): The National Bomb Data Centre (NBDC) of NSG is mandated to collect, collate, analyses and evaluate all terrorist Improvised Explosive Device(IED) incidents in the Country. In pursuance of its mandate, the NBDC is compiling data provided by States related to IED incidents giving details of type of IED, location of blast and explosive used. The same is compiled as a quarterly Bulletin and shared with the security environment.
The NBDC Bulletin-June 2016 does not contain any warning that terrorist and insurgents are getting public support. The assessment in the concluding para was generic in nature.
(b): Necessary preventive measures are taken by various Central and State Forces against IED attacks based on the analysis of IED incidents carried out by various agencies including NBDC.
