(a) the details of foot overbridges on NHs in various States in the country; Statewise;
(b) whether the Union Government has provided/proposes to provide financial assistance for the construction and maintenance of foot overbridges on National Highways in various States,
particularly in backward and rural areas; and
(c) if so, the details thereof during each of the last three years and the current year,
State-wise and NH-wise?

(a) Details of foot over bridges on National Highways in various States in the country is
enclosed at Annexure.
(b)&(c) No separate financial assistance is made for construction and maintenance of foot over
bridges on National Highways in various States particularly in backward and rural areas. The
funds for construction and maintenance of foot over bridges is to be met out from overall
allocation made for National Highways in various States.
