(a) & (b) Under the flagship programme of Namami Gange, a total 310 projects at the cost of Rs.28,790.66 crore have been sanctioned for various activities such as sewerage infrastructure, ghats & crematoria, river front development, river surface cleaning, institutional development, biodiversity conservation, afforestation and rural sanitation in 8 states of Ganga basin – i.e Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Delhi, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh. The status of various projects taken up State-wise in different sectors and expenditure incurred under Namami Gange Programme is Annexed. (c) Yes Sir. The cost of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) is included/ sanctioned for the sewerage infrastructure projects under Namami Gange Programme.
