(a) & (b):- Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) has drilled 419 exploratory wells during the last three years, out of which 151 wells were oil bearing.
(c):- A total of 47 exploration blocks, including blocks under New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP), and 27 discovered fields have been contracted to Private Companies/Joint Venture(JV) consortia.
(d):-In the above blocks/fields, Private Companies/ JV consortia have drilled 35 exploratory wells till March 2001.
