(a) whether the Union Government has received any request from the Government of Karnataka for construction of stadium in Chamaraja Nagar district ;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the total amount released for the purpose ; and
(c) if not, by when the said stadium is likely to be constructed ?

(a) Yes, Sir.
(b) & (c) : The details of proposals and their status,
received from the Government of Karnataka under the scheme
of “Grants for Creation of Sports Infrastructure†during
2001-2002 to 2004-05 (as on 30.11.2004) for construction of
stadia in Chamaraja Nagar district of Karnataka are given
below. It is for the State Government of Karnataka to get
the approved projects completed expeditiously and submit
Utilisation Certificate /Progress Report /Completion
Certificate etc. to avail the approved grant from the
Government.
