Question : NATIONAL MISSION ON SANITATION

(a) whether the Planning Commission had recommended provision of toilets in cities where the population exceeds 100 million households by 2010 under the National Mission on Sanitation and Public Health (NMSPH);

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the efforts made by the Government to implement the recommendations of the Planning Commission; and

(c) the success achieved by the Government in this regard?

(a): The Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation has not received any such recommendation of Planning Commission for provision of toilets in cities where the population exceeds 100 million households by 2010 under the National Mission on Sanitation and Public Health (NMSPH).

(b) & (c): Does not arise.
