Question : e-Vehicle Charging Stations


(a) whether the Government proposes to set up charging stations on Expressways, National Highways and in major cities to promote electric cars, heavy duty vehicles to bring down pollution level in the country;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government has issued any guidelines and standards for charging infrastructure for electric vehicles to all the States and if so, the details thereof; and

(d) the name of States where the work to set up the charging stations have been started?

(a) to (d) Yes, Sir. The Ministry of Power vide memorandum dated 14th December, 2018 has published guidelines and standards for the charging infrastructure of the electric vehicle which are available on [www.powermin.nic.in]. The following projects/proposals of charging infrastructure have also been funded/approved for funding under FAME India Scheme:
