Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF RAILWAYS AND COMMERCE & INDUSTRY

(SHRI PIYUSH GOYAL)

(a) to (d): For construction of new lines, Railway acquire only a small strip of land. Height of Railway embankment is finalised taking into account the topography of areas and Highest Flood Level (HFL) in the area etc.

Whenever New Line is laid by Railway, sufficient provisions in the form of Level Crossing, Subways, Road Under Bridges (RUB), Road Over Bridges (ROB), etc. is made depending on local demand, site conditions etc., to ensure farmers do not face difficulty in crossing the track including farming equipment/vehicle.
