(a) The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment operates welfare schemes for Scheduled Castes/Minorities/Disabled and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for Scheduled Tribes throughout the country and not for a particular State and not in particular districts.
(b) No State-wise allocation is made under welfare schemes. During the last three years funds released under these schemes in Rajasthan are detailed in the statement at Annexure-I. State Governments and Voluntary Organizations are released grant only after utilization certificates have been received for the previous releases.
(c) & (d): Yes, Sir. During Ninth Five Year Plan, the Ministry has launched schemes for educational and economic development of Other Backward Classes.
(e) The number of persons/families benefited under these welfare schemes during the relevant period in the State is given in the statement at Annexure II.
