(a) whether the Government has set up any Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) / Heavy Industry in States including Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Gujarat during the last three years;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) if not, the reasons therefore; and
(d) the details of the profit earned / loss incurred by the Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) in the said States during the said period?

(a) to (d): As per information available from the Ministries / Departments, 49 Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) including subsidiaries were established in the country during the last three years i. e. 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18. The State-wise location of these CPSEs as per their Registered Offices is given in Annex-1. The decision to establish more CPSEs is taken by the concerned administrative Ministries / Departments in consultation with various stakeholders and in line with techno-economic feasibility.
During the last three years one CPSE namely, Jammu & Kashmir Development Finance Corporation has been established in the State of Jammu & Kashmir. No CPSE has been established in the States of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat during 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18. The detail of profit/loss of the 49 CPSEs which were established during the last three years is given in Annex-2.
