(a) to (c): As per the information provided by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), a total of 361 cases under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 were registered in which final reports were submitted as false and 293 cases were registered in which final reports were submitted as mistake of fact or of law under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 during 2015. State/UT wise such data during 2015 is enclosed as Annexure-I.
