(a) Yes, Madam.
(b) A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways
of the Government of Republic of India and the Ministerio De Fomento ((Ministry of Public Works
and Transport) of the Kingdom of Spain was signed on 26th October, 2012 for cooperation in the
Roads and Road Transport Sector on the basis of equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit. The
major objectives of the MOU include exchange of information between the officials and specialists
of the highway Departments of the two countries in the field of roads and transportation by road
and promotion and development of relations between enterprises (consultancy, engineering and
road transport service providers) for mutual cooperation agreements and transfer of technology.
