Question : Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana

(a) whether any special training programme is being organized under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) in the country for the purpose of skill development of youth, State/UT-wise;

(b) the total number of youth or persons trained for skill development in villages under the said scheme, State/UTwise;

(c) the employment avenues generated for the persons provided skill training in the Saansad Adarsh Grams so far, State/ UT-wise;

(d) the details of the various schemes being implemented for skill development and employment generation under the said scheme; and

(e) whether any assessment has been made regarding the economic growth in such villages and if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) : Under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) framework, the development of Gram Panchayats has been envisaged through the convergence and implementation of existing Government Schemes and Programmes under the administrative control of respective Ministries. Therefore, no special training programme has been designed for implementation in the Gram Panchayats identified under the SAGY initiative.

(c) & (d) : Skill development training programmes for the youth from the SAGY Gram Panchayats of the country have been taken up under various central schemes like Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY), Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Rural Self Employment Training Institutes, Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Nehru Yuva Kendra etc and respective State/UTs programmes / schemes like Puthu Vazhvu (Tamil Nadu), Mukhyamantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (Chhattisgarh) etc. Ministry of Rural Development is undertaking two skill development schemes namely Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) leading to placement in wage employment and skilling in Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) leading to self employment. Under the Village Development Plans, so far 1264 skill development projects have been undertaken. Out of these 969 projects have been completed. State/UT-wise details are annexed. Information regarding employment generation is not maintained centrally.

(e) Evaluation and impact assessment of SAGY has not been carried out yet.
