The Independent Power Producers (IPPs)/Central Power Utilities generally do not
sell power to the consumers directly. The power from these generators is sold to
SEBs/other State Utilities, which in turn supply power to the consumers. The estimated
average tariff charged from various categories of consumers during 2000-01 is given in
Annexure-I.
