(a) the total credit received by the Union Government from foreign Countries/institutions for State Projects in the country during each of the last three years;
(b) the details of country/institutions project-wise; and
(c) the amount of interest payable by the Union Government on this total credit ?

(a) The total credit received by the Union Government from foreign Countries/institutions for State Projects during the years 1997-98, 1998-99 and 1999-2000 was Rs. 4780.00 Cr., Rs. 5962.11 Cr., and Rs. 7632.94 Cr. respectively.
(b) The project-wise details are as per Statement annexed.
(c) The total payments of interest made by the Union Government against foreign loans during the years 1997-98, 1998-99 and 1999-2000 were Rs. 4110.00 Cr., Rs. 4364.08 and Rs. 4507.81 Cr. respectively.
