Question : Ideas and Innovations Portal

(a) the objectives of “Ideas and Innovation” portal provided on the website of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj;

(b) the number of applications received under each of the categories since its introduction;

(c) the number of such applications acknowledged/responded to by the Government;

(d) whether the Government has taken any policy decision based on ideas received through this portal and if so, the details thereof; and



(e) Whether the Government proposes to make these ideas public or release a consolidated report based thereon and if so, the details thereof?

(SHRI NIHAL CHAND)

(a) : The objective of the “Ideas and Innovation” tab on the website of Ministry of Panchayati Raj is to get innovative ideas from general public on subjects relevant to Panchayati Raj.

(b) : Ministry has received 210 suggestions as on 08.03.2016.

(c) & (d): Suggestions received relate to a range of subjects including programmes of the Ministry, local issues, grievances etc. Such suggestions are considered while taking decisions, if necessary. Suggestions received so far did not call for any policy decisions.

(e) : There is no such proposal under consideration.
