Question : Traffic Jam on Service Road of NH-6

(a) whether the Government is aware that trucks are parked on the service road in front of NTPC, HAEP and KRIBHCO townships on the section of Surat-Hazira National Highway-6 (NH-6) resulting in traffic jam;

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the reaction of the Government thereto;

(c) whether the Government/NHAI proposes to take steps in coordination with the local police administration to address the issues; and

(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (d) Yes sir, unauthorized parking on Surat-Hazira stretch at service roads and main carriage way has been reported. National Highways Authority of India has approached local police to remove unauthorized parking from time to time.
