(a) whether gypsum is being used by the farmers in many States as it increase
the soil nutrients, land fertility and used as low cost fertilizer;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the demand for gypsum has been increasing day-by-day;
(d) if so, the quantum of demand and production of gypsum during the last three years
and the current year, year and State/UT-wise; and
(e) the steps taken by the Union Government to increase the production of gypsum in the country?
