(a) whether sports activities are organized regularly by the National Sports Federations (NSFs) every year;
(b) if so, the details of sports activities organized by NSFs and the fund provided to them during each of the last three years and the current year, NSFs-wise; and
(c) the achievements made by NSFs during the said period, NSF-wise?

(a) Madam, most National Sports Federation (NSFs) are organizing sports activities regurarly.
(b) Sports activities organized by NSFs include national championships for senior, Junior and sub- junior categories, zonal championships for senior category and international tournaments in India. The Government provides financial assistance under the Scheme of ‘Assistance to National Sports Federations’, as per the approved Annual Calendar of Training & Competition (ACTC), for organising national/international tournaments in India, participation in international competitions/training abroad engagement of foreign coaches, equipment support etc. The details of financial assistance provided under the scheme to NSFs during each of the last 3 years and the current year is given in the Annexure.
(c) Due to the combined efforts of Indian Olympic Association (IOA), NSFs, Sports Authority of India (SAI) & the Government, the performance of the Indian athletes in the international events is steadily improving. In the recently held Common Wealth Games, 2014, Glasgow, Asian Games, 2014 and Para Asian Games, 2014 held at Incheon, South Korea, a large number of athletes in various sports disciplines have won medals, the details of which are given below:-
