(a) Intensive Cotton Development Programme (ICDP) under Mini Mission-II of Technology Mission on Cotton, a Centrally Sponsored Scheme, is being implemented in 13 cotton growing States including Maharashtra. The funding pattern under the scheme is mostly 75:25 sharing basis between the Government of India and the implementing States. The basic objective of the scheme is to increase production and productivity of cotton through `Transfer of Technology to farmers`, `Integrated Pest Management`, `Popularizing newer varieties`, `Encouraging farmers to use water saving devices` etc. Assistance for following components is provided under the scheme:


(i) Production of breeder, foundation and certified seeds

(ii) Distribution of certified seeds and setting up of seed delinting machines.

(iii) Demonstration on production technology etc.

(iv) Integrated Pest Management, demonstration cum training and related activities.

(v) Distribution of plant protection equipment and setting up of bio-agent production units.

(vi) Training of farmers, extension worker

(vii) Water saving devices like sprinkler/drip.

(viii) Contingency for monitoring etc.


(b) Intensive Cotton Development Programme (ICDP) under Mini Mission-II of Technology Mission on Cotton is in operation in following districts of Maharashtra:
