Question : CONSTURCTION OF ROB AT DALKHOLA



(a) whether construction of Rail-over-bridge on National Highway 34/35 at Dalkhola has been pending for the last several years despite the fact that the project has already been cleared by the Ministry of Urban Development, as the Railways have not settled the land issue with the Government of West Bengal;

(b) if so, the steps the Government propose to take to settle the land issue; and

(c) the time by which the said project is likely to be started and completed?

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS ( SHRI BANDARU DATTATRAYA )

(a): A Road over bridge at Dalkhola on NH-34 (by pass) is a sanctioned work to be fully funded and executed by the State Government of West Bengal. The Railways have no dispute regarding land issue to be settled.

(b): Does not arise.

(c): Work is yet to be started by PWD/NH Division(Roads)/West Bengal. The Railways have already approved the General Arrangement Drawing, Project Report, detailed design & drawing. Hence, the target for completion is also to be fixed by State PWD.
