(a)&(b) The district-wise details of proposals from State Forest Departments of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh under Nagar Van Yojana (NVY) are given in Annexure. The proposal from Madhya Pradesh has included project for development of Nagar Van at Ujjain Municipal Corporation as one of the project. No proposal for development of Nagar Van at Kaisarganj has been included among the projects from Uttar Pradesh.

(c)&(d) The Pilot Scheme of Nagar Van Yojana (NVY) was launched in 2020 with some modifications of earlier Nagar Van Udyan Scheme during 2015. Nagar Van Yojana envisages developing Nagar Vans/ Nagar Vatikas with an objective to significantly enhance the tree outside forests and green cover in environment, enhancement of biodiversity and ecological benefits to the urban and peri-urban areas apart from improving quality of life of city dwellers. As per the guidelines, development of Nagar Van/Nagar Vatikas in all cities with Municipal Corporation/ Municipalities/Urban Local Bodies (ULB) is considered under the scheme. For Nagar Van,an area of minimum 10 ha and maximum of50 ha within 5 km limits of Municipal Corporation/Municipal Council/Municipality is considered for Central Funding. In congested cities, the project is taken up with a minimum limit of 1 ha to 10 ha as Nagar Vatika project within the city limits. The Central grants from funds under National Authority of CAMPA is provided under the scheme to cover mainly the cost of fencing, soil-moisture conservation measures & related activities, administrative activities, plantation and maintenance.

(e) Madhya Pradesh has informed that Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (APCCF) Green India Mission, Madhya Pradesh Forest Department is the nodal Officer of Nagar Van Scheme at the State level and Divisional Forest Officers are Nodal Officer for respective Municipal corporation/Cities/Districts of Nagar Van Scheme Creation Sites. Uttar Pradesh has communicated that the Divisional Forest Officer/Divisional Director of concerned District/Division of the project site is responsible for implementation of the project under the Nagar Van Scheme.
