Question : PROCUREMENT OF MEDICINES BY PUBLIC SECTOR COMPANIES



(a) whether the Public Sector Companies and insurance companies procure only 21 per cent medicines in the country at the lower rates in comparison to the rates at which these medicines are bought by the common man;

(b) if so, the facts in this regard;

(c) whether the Government gives priority to bring down the prices of medicines to be sold to Public Sector Companies and the insurance companies in the country; and

(d) if so, the facts in this regard?
