Question : MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN RAILWAYS



(a) whether the Railways have taken a note that the number of its employees have been found guilty in cases of malpractices;

(b) if so, the details thereof during the last three years;

(c) the action taken against the officials found guilty;

(d) whether the Railways propose to take any steps to improve and make the management, operation and appointment system more effective; and

(e) if so, the details thereof and the steps taken by the Railways in this regard?

(a) to (c): Details of penalties imposed on erring employees for vigilance related irregularities detected during the last three years are given below:

(d) & (e): The management system of the Railways is well-established. However, improvement is a continuous process and changes in systems & procedures are carried out as and when required.
