Question : ROBs IN JHARKHAND

(a) the number of places in Jharkhand where work is in progress for rail over bridge/ ROBs and the number of places where approval has been given for construction of rail over bridge but the work has not been completed due to lack of funds since last three years till date;

(b) the target fixed for completion of ongoing works, the number of such cases where work was started but it was stopped midway due to some reasons, the details of those places where works are halted; and

(c) the details of approximate amount provided for this work during the year 2004-05 ?

(a) & (b): There are 21 works of Road over/under bridges sanctioned on cost sharing basis falling in Jharkhand State, out of which 19 works are in various stages of execution. In case of two works State Govt. has not yet decided the plan of work. No on-going works are held up on account of funds constraints. On-going works are targeted to be completed between Aug. 2004 to Dec. 2006.

(c): Funds are not allocated State-wise and instead it is done Railway-wise. However, funds to the tune of Rs. 21.75 crore have been allotted during 2004-05 for execution of Railway portion of these works.
