Question : Allocation under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana

(a) the details of the salient features of the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana along with its present status;

(b) the details of the funds sanctioned, allocated and utilised under the above said yojana during the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise along with the details of the target fixed and achievements made under this yojana so far;

(c) whether the Government is satisfied with the achievements made under this yojana, if not, the reasons therefor and the action taken by the Government in this regard;

(d) whether the Government is planning/proposing to use satellite and remote sensing technologies in agriculture sector across the country; and

(e) if so, the details thereof along with the reasons therefor and time by which it is likely to be used?

(a) to (c): Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) launched during 2007-08, aims to achieve and sustain desired annual growth by ensuring holistic development in agriculture and allied sectors. The scheme is being implemented in all States and Union Territories. No physical target for the scheme is fixed by the Government of India under the scheme as the States and Union Territories have the flexibility to devise and implement projects under the scheme as per their needs, priorities and available resources. The State/Union Territory-wise allocation, release of funds and utilization reported under the scheme during the last three years and the current year is given at annexure.

(d) & (e): National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has been engaged for a period of five years from 01.04.2017 for development of web based geo portal on Bhuvan Platform of ISRO and has been providing technical support for geo-tagging of all infrastructure assets created under this scheme from 2007-08 in ISRO-Bhuvan
web portal for RKVY to enable online visualization of Assets created under the scheme.
