(a) the number of Kendriya Vidyalayas which have been
provided with the necessary infrastructure and basic amenities
in each State;
(b) the number of Kendriya Vidyalayas which have not been
provided the above facilities; and
(c) the reasons therefor and the time by which proper
buildings and other basic amenities are likely to be provided
to these Vidyalayas?

(a), (b) & (c) : Out of 854 Kendriya Vidyalayas in the country,
147 KVs are project sector schools out of which 130 are
functioning in permanent buildings. Of the remaining 707
vidyalayas in civil and defence sector, 430 are functioning in
permanent buildings as indicated in the statement annexed.
Work is in progress in 79 vidyalayas and for 73 proposals are
at planning stage. For 125 vidyalayas the land is yet to be
made available to the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
