(a) Under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 2015-16, it was not mandatory for Training providers to report employment data. However, under PMKVY 2016-20, which started from 2nd October 2016, placement tracking is mandatory. As on 31st July 2017, a total of 2.9 lakh candidates have been provided placements offer.
(b) to (d) PMKVY 2016-20 aims to train one crore youth for 4 years (2016-2020) with a total outlay of Rs 12,000 crores. Further, under PMKVY, as on 6th July 2017, total 30,67,080 candidates are trained / undergoing training across country, including under PMKVY 2015-16.
Under the scheme, an amount of Rs. 500 is being provided as monetary reward to candidate on completion of training. Further, the focus on employment has been significantly enhanced. The last 20% payment to training partner would be made only after wage employment/self-employment to atleast 70% of the trained candidates were provided by TPs. Scheme incentivizes Training Centers (TCs)/ Training Partners (TPs) for facilitating placement of the trained candidates. TCs are mandated to organize placement/rozgar melas every six month with the support of Sector Skill Councils.
