(a) whether the Government are aware that Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has pulled up the Ministry for creating unauthorised posts in overseas tourist offices resulting in an outgo of Rs. 1.74 crore from the exchequer;
(b) if so, the reaction of the Government thereto; and
(c) the steps taken by the Government to prevent the same?

(a): India Audit Office, London has made certain observations regarding unauthorized expenditure on staff costs in respect of Indiatourism Office, Frankfurt which has been included in the report of Comptroller and Auditor General.
(b): None of the posts are being operated unauthorizedly. Approval of the competent authority i.e. Integrated Finance for continuation of all the India as well as local based posts has been taken.
(c): Does not arise.
