Question : Construction of Roads under PMGSY in Bihar

(a) the length of roads in kilometer constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in Bihar during the last three years and the current year, district-wise including Parliamentary Constituency of Valmiki Nagar; and

(b) whether the Government proposes to construct the remaining rural roads under the said yojana in Bihar including Parliamentary Constituency of Valmiki Nagar and if so, the details thereof?

(a) Valmiki Nagar Parliamentary Constituency is a part of West Champaran district of Bihar. The district-wise details of road length constructed under PMGSY in the state of Bihar during the last three years and the current year (as on 30.03.2022) (including that under Valmiki Nagar Parliamentary Constituency) are given in the Annexure.

(b) The details of balance works under PMGSY (PMGSY-I, II, III) & RCPLWEA as on 30.03.2022 in the state of Bihar and West Champaran district are as under:-

The timeline for completion of PMGSY-I & II is September, 2022 and for RCPLWEA, it is March 2023. The target road length allocated to the state of Bihar under PMGSY-III is 6,162.50 km, against which 1,390.31 km has been sanctioned to the state till 30.03.2022. The timeline for completion of PMGSY-III is March, 2025.
