(a): A large number of infrastructure development projects are being developed on public-private partnership
(PPP) basis. A few projects also involve joint ventures between the private sector and the public sector.
(b): Ministry-wise details of PPP projects as on March 31, 2011, are provided below:

(c): The PPP models developed by the Planning Commission do not involve creation of joint ventures for execution of projects. However, modernisation of Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore airports through PPP has been executed on
the joint venture mode. While the Airport Authority of Indiaâs has a share of 26 per cent each in Delhi and Mumbai
airports, it has a share of 13 per cent (subject to a maximum of Rs. 50 crore) in Hyderabad and Bangalore airports.
